Miesch still utilizes film and does not practice digital manipulation. Double (and the random triple) exposures are done in-camera. Currently, she uses a Hasselblad 500 C/M, and occasionally her iPhone with the Hipstamatic app and its double exposure feature. Other cameras in the past include the Mamiya C330, Yashica Mat 124, a Minolta X-370, an Olympus Stylus point, and shoot.

In smaller prints, she will often employ the use of her Underwood typewriter to either write the title and place or occasionally type on the image itself, if so inspired. Each of these prints is unique as it is very challenging to exactly replicate where the type is or how it comes out. Prints are made in limited editions and are available in a variety of sizes and types of paper. She often prints on duratrans as it can be used backlit.
